After years in farming, machining and manufacturing, Norman R. Myers began his accounting career in 1982. He was originally located in the Worthman Building and then worked out of Jack Dever’s office for a short time before founding Myers CPA Group, P.C. in 1992. He built his business from a very small firm to the medium sized firm it is today. He serviced very small businesses all the way up to multimillion-dollar corporations and everything in between. His personal tax return business grew as his reputation for handling complex returns grew and he became quite proficient in working with the IRS to come to mutually beneficial solutions for all involved. He was well respected in the industry for his knowledge and interpretation of tax law and was a consultant to many accountants locally and state wide. Norman took pride in his family and his firm and his passing has left many people mourning. At his passing, he was in the process of handing over ownership of the firm to Doug Coe, CPA, who he been mentoring for several years.
